So, This week...hmm...well....lets start off with sunday, I went to relief society this week, I felt like one of those people high in the church that go around from class to class and the teachers trips out cause they are in there but really, the secret is they just do not want to go to priesthood :) which is what I did haha, I went and chatted with all the women, pretty legit, I walked around a little but I do stay for all of them, but while I was walking around I saw the stake president and was like ohhh noo!! he is going to make me teach, so I ran back to relief society all huffing and puffing and the ladies thought it was hiliarious, cause I told them I wanted to learn and all them called me a vehivavy :) that class was better though, I get to just sit haha :) freaking legit though, so this week, everyone got sick except clark who was sick last week, like lunt was throwing up hard core, but the thing that made it funny was he said three days he was due to get sick, just made it so awesome haha, prochnow had some weird thing going on with his stomach and just big ol pains and I got something called tazo, it is like a cold just a little different, so that just made the week awesome, we did not work half the work lol, just bleh!! got to pick it up this week if I do not get moved, just goodness gracious, kind of was nice though, a nice slow week to relax but we still worked somewhat, do not get me wrong here, so one of the days, there are these things called pousses, it is a two seater cart pulled by someone and we were walking and I was in a I dont give a care right now, sohe asked me if wanted a pousse, I said if you sit and I drive, and holy cow it was freaking hard and I only did it for a good 5 minutes and woowee what the heck!! it was rough, then about 10 minutes later there was two oxen pulling a cart, these things are everywhere and it was going in the same direction so I asked if I could just sit down and they said yea, I was like really?? they said yea so I got a good 20 minute ride and the funny thing was all the pousse guys were just shocked cause I was getting a free ride, I jsut laughed so hard and they smiled but just shocked lol made my day much better, so another thing while we were in a time I was pretty sick in, I told the lady I was sick and she shouted you must pray!! Clark!! pray and heal him, so we did not argue and clark asked for me to be healed, woowee, I walked out and asked him if he really did that and he said I could not argue with her!! was so funny, that same time she gave me this medicine you sniff and I sniffed it and she said you are doing it wrong, do it like this, so I grab the bottle and sniffed it real hard but I swung it too fast and got it everywhere, that stuff had a RANK smell haha, it was rough that day, I had that smell on me for a good hour walking around, but it cleared my nose up :) First general conference is this week on saturday and sunday in malagasy, going to be a long day haha, I can grasp the people speaking but that is something completely different! We did two more baptisims on saturday, that made the goal 60 for mahajanga complete! Do not remember if I told you this already but we were walking down a thing to go to the beach cause we were done with work and this guy started yelling at us to come over and we are like the heck whatever, lets just go, so I started talking to the drunk guy in english, cause when people are drunk they get really good at english and when they are not they talk only french to white people, so after that he bought us soda, then another girl wanted to learn and we bounced haha, kind of legit getting free drinks, that guy had some interesting stories for sure, half of it was hard to understand but I got the jist of it! the ladies in the ward are loving on me, got a couple that say if you guys need a break just come stop by, my house is your house, lol so this week being sick we took some breaks and got some food, loved it :) pretty sure that is it!! love you guys!

My Missionary Commission
MY MISSIONARY COMMISSION
I am Called of God. My authority is above that of the kings of the earth. By revelation I have been selected as a personal representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my Master and he has chosen me to represent him. To stand in his place, to say and do what he himself would say and do if he personally were ministering to the very people to whom he has sent me. My voice is his voice, and my acts are his acts; my words are his words, and my doctrine is his doctrine. My commission is to do what he wants done. To say what he wants said. To be a living modern witness in word and deed of the divinity of his great and marvelous latter-day work.

Mission President's Visit (10/2/2011)
hahahahahaha, good ol mother falling asleep, love the snoring part. Really cheered me up a little bit right now so thank you for that
This week was slow/fast. It was the actually work week because the first one is him getting here and getting settled in and what not. but this was the actual first one. So, we put in some work this week, and on friday I planned out where everyone lives so we can be in that area that day and put in more work, But besides that fact, this was not a bad week. So a week or two ago this lady told us she wanted to learn, so we went back and some other lady let us in so I was not sure if this was the right lady but I did not fight it, then this past wednesday we saw her again and said she was the one that was supposed to learn haha, so we go back to her house, and I met the cooliest lady ever, her name is Malala, which means beloved, she is soo freaking smart, gonna have a kid soon and her friend is dope too, the friend was the one who approached us, but gosh dang, am stoked to go back, when we were leaving the friend named Jasmine asked us if it was alright to bring friends, so I asked how much, and she said a lot haha, so yea, wednesday is going to be a sick day, which is when we go back. gosh dang she is so dopĂȘ!! President came up and is still here this weekend, we had to hardcore clean the house but we are moving houses as well now, the contract runs out in 4 days haha, we found some sick house, one has the best view in mahajanga, even if we do not get that house Ill get back and take pictures, it is the highest house you can live in right now :) some places here are soo nice, they are about 500 a month as well if I remember right, but shoot, they are so good stuff. Yesterday was fast and testimony meeting right? so I wrote mine down to make sure I had it all solid in my head and in malagasy, by the way which is getting pretty good, After awhile you do not have to translate and you just say the stuff, it is pretty nice, but I was headed up and sat next to a little girl, I told her I was s kind of scared cause there was a good amount of people and she said ask for strength and did the finger to your head chest and shoulders, the cross, made me laugh :) I offically hit my 6 month mark on mission on Thursday. 4 month mark in country.woowee, 6 months..... president came and taught with us, we would translate for him and he would usually speak in french, but he came to teach a family that is way sick but never come to church cause they are so diligent with their church, which is no worries you know, ability to choose, but president came with us and we tore it up, they came to church haha :), once we met up with president we saw a car catch fire and for like 5 minutes was throwing dirt on it and everyone was just watching then all the sudden we had like 20 people trying to put it out, it was cool haha, everyone was so amazed at first then boom, my white shirt got a little dirty then =/ but that is why we got washers haha, oh shoot, this tripped me out, we were watching a primary training video which was translated into malagasy, but set in africa so they sang in english but I did not know that, I was listening to them sing and I could not pick out the words, it was not malagasy but english and i did not realize they were singing english til it was over, tripped me out bad. All I got :)
Enjoy your week please.
love you guys.

3 new baptisms (9/25/2011)
So, stories, I made sure I did not forget my planner so I could write a good amount today :) To start it off, had 3 new baps this past saturday, the water felt sooo freaking good that day, goodness, like 4 and just felt awesome!! We also had transfers this week, I got a new elder and his name is clark, he is pretty freaking legit, pretty laid back guy and prochnow got a new elder as well and his name is lunt!
lunt is from duncan AZ! But clark is mine and he is dope, we got big plans and I think we are going to enjoy the next month or two together, plus our house is sick! So yea :) haha before I forget, we have tennis balls in the house and prochnow was trying to get me, and you have to remmeber how hot it is here, and he threw it and got one of the best funs and straight busted it hahahaha, that was such a funny day, Also, when I was with reynolds, we went to petite plage, one of the best beaches to go to on the island, besides grand privoiore, which we are going to both of those probably today :DD, petite plage is a lot of people and the other beach is opposite, hardly any people but gorgeous, we also revamped the house because prochnow and I became the bosses ha, deba is malagasy for boss by the way :), we put all the beds in one room and all the study stuff in one room, cleaned the house which took us two houses to clean two rooms!!
freaking crazy!! we cleaned it the night Reynolds and oyoukou were leaving, so we decided to pull another all nighter, so from 3 to 5 we cleaned the house and they left then they others got there at 8 :) it was a pretty big party night, so with Reynodls leaving bought a good amount of things, went to BOLO!! a straight italian runned food place in madagascar, oh my goodness, the spagetti reminds me of dads ol spagetti, woowee, I was in heaven!! Also, nex tweek we are getting shark, all I have left to eat here is sea turtle, seagall, bat and yea, I might get the seagall this week hopefully!! we saw it at a resturant kind of thing, also on a side note, president is coming up again on saturday through monday! hahaha, guess also what I ate, freaking liver, probably one of the better foods I have eaten here too, woowee was it good, the vazaha(white non mada) guy made it :))) he is such a good cook I love it! Also, a fomba or like a custom I guess you would call it is when it is someones birthday you throw flour on them, cause then it turns them white :) lol just kidding!! but that is really what you do, and Reynolds and I got to do it to one of our favorite members, it was so awesome :) saw my first lightning storm from far off and goodness gracious, I am excited, that sucker was huge, and one things that happens here is there is no sound from the lightning, it does not make sense scientifically but it is freaking cool haha! so sort of longer story for you!! so, when clark came here I gave him the keys, he went to go play basketball with lunt while prochnow and I went and bought things, that night we went to the board, a big place to eat, and got a taxi home and we get home and go to bed, wake up and I ask clark if he has the keys and he could not find them!! so we freaked for awhile and said whatever, went out to work, came home and waited for the other two because we could not get in, then I realized I dead bolted it so noone could get in lol, so I had to jump on the balcony and break a door, no good but it had to be done!! then later that night we go to that restuarnt place and a guy walks up to us and in broken english says you left your keys at the basketball place!! and he had ALL the important keys, so yea we hurry and get over there and we do not see him so we go ask some people playing cards where he lives and one guy starts being really persistant and asking us all these question and after abuot 10 minutes clark is getting pissed haha, I tell him lets go ask somebody else and right then he yells at us and says he has the keys, it was awesome :) also!! I decided what I am doing with my uku!! I am going to bring it around with me, then get a rosewood at home!! hopefully it works out :) if I remember right that be it!! hope you enjoyed!! lots of jumping around!! Ive been dreaming in malagasy so yea..brain is starting to get mixed up, sorry, love you :)

Missionaries Coming Home Video
NGA (goodness gracious) 9-18-2011
Goodness gracious. I did enjoy this email very much! By the way, I love how you were thinking about Shirley :)) lol that part made me laugh too much :) (surely)
My week has been interesting for sure. We had a missionary leave this week, that was pretty weird cause he is the group ahead of me and he had to go back to america to get surgery, and I realized I am 2 weeks from 6 months!! almost a fourth!! gosh dang haha, I forgot my planner today so I can not remembner what I was going to write....BUT! Ill wing it :) This week I learned a little bit of french haha, been studying it here and there because a lot of malagasies speak french, that is like there dream stuff, if you are good at there you get a lot of good jobs and what not so yea!! figured why not, I speak malagasy all day and can learn french while I am here as well. But going back, I learned this phrase, J ai rougeurs sur mes.... the guy I said it to, he is fluent in french and still learning english, from congo, so funny, he freaked out once he understood what I said he said oooooo crap!! You are screwed in broken engish haha that night was awesome, aiyah!! I remember one!! This week we were working with a member and at night we thought we would get shiskabobs with him for helping us, then there is this ALWAYS drunk guy, he came up and starting dancing and slowly sitting next to us, but the owners did not like that, and started just beating the crap out of him, but he is always happy and he thought it was the funniest thing. Then the next day we were walking around our area and a bunch of kids saw us and started to run away, but one in particular, looked back to see if we were running and smacked right into a car lol, straight out of a movie, then jumped on a concrete thing and slipped, he was so sketched out by us lol so funny though, he was like 4 :) we had a time this week too, Elder Prochnow and I, we had a bunch of member presents and made everyone share their testimonies and some of them had CRAZY stories, and the investigator Zara, starting crying, she is WAY cool though! I figured out how to say goodness gracious this week too, it is Nga!! you raise your voice and the ending and that is goodness gracious lol That is pretty much all I got!!
Love you guys :)
Peace, stay good

Food, Glorius Food (9/5/2011)
A'ight g!! here we go again!! I have been trying to write a lot lately so yea... It is most likely going to be a lot haha :) haha first off, when we were teaching a time, we got about half way through and I heard off in the distance can you feel the love tonight, and since we are in Muslim central it sounded like it was coming off one of those and tripped me out bad haha, but i laughed so it was all good, I also met a lady named Olga, totally fit her name too, hairy legs but most malagasys do not shave their legs, broad shoulders, deeper voice, just straight and perfect description!!! but she was not half bad though!!
I did teach the guys in my house about the hand sanitzer stuff lol that was interesting, it is when you put a bunch of hand sanitzer on your hand and lite it on fire and it just chills there, freaked me out cause I have not done it in so long but they loved it! There is this one place called DAllas, it is the best rice and loak (the stuff you put on the rice, I do not know what it is in english) place EVER!! I get this stuff called coco shrimp and oh my goodness gracious each bite is apart of heaven!! hopefully we are going there tonight :D by the way, you know how in third world countries you always hear about cock fights, and goodness gracious they are interesting, it is so simple but they just happen everywhere and I am going to try and get a picture soon! they are really quite interesting! On saturday I did baptize a kid in the ocean!! it was legit, he just glowed haha, but we had a time before that and we were waiting for somebody and I decided to sit down without looking and sat in poop, that was just a great start to my day haha, but it was legit, then he was late for church and my comp was really freaking out!! but Elder Prochnow and I just did our thing :) Reynolds and I did get an idea as well, after every example our scripture in our teaching we are going to try and switch off, so that is definitely going to be difficult at first but should be way cool!! OH! along with Dallas, there is also called this beans called tsaramaso, supposedly in the states it is called butterbeans, THEY ARE SO FREAKING GOOD!! but not better than the coco shrimp!! I should be getting some tsaramaso (which litterly means good eyes) on wednesday when I do splits and go with the other missionary! :) Still talking about food, in malagasy brownies are called cockaroach bread, or mofo kadradraka, so people really think we get bugs and crush them up and that is where the color comes from! we were telling our favorite family that and saying it is soooo good!! and they were freaking out lol, but we are going to make it soon and Ill tell you how they react :) We gave 3 solid baps out this past week too! so we have 1 this weekend and 3 next week! got to love it!! putting in work!! some people are way cool too!! we would have 5 but a freaking husband is being a butthead! Oh my bad, on saturday, we were walking around and it was pretty dark, I look at the ground, thought it was good, jumped and just a big ol puddle, just lovely haha. OH SHOOT!!
last monday, I was in score, it is the same as shopright, like a mini walmart, and I see some white people and it is kind of weird all the time now, but one of them comes up to and me and says hey whats up, and all I could say whoa brother, you speak english!! he had a crazy story, he was born into madagascar, went to kenya when he was 15 to study, then seattle then back on a baptist mission, really cool guy, but a lil weird. I believe that is it cause that is all I wrote on my planner so yea OH SHOOT!! I did a hug from ma girlfriend this week, she is about4 and her name is sabrina haha, she is the coolest lil girl, she told Elder Prochnow to shutup during church. Amin manaraka
:)
So! You could add totsie rolls, the red green and orange one ONLY!!

OH SHOOT!!

MOM: Had to get the "official" word. As every mission is different. Ya know g?
DYLAN: Haha I hear ya, that is kind of a sketchy rule, so will not be breaking that one, I hear ya lil thuglet :)

Got caught (8/28/2011)
By the way, Ive been trying to write a lot more so yea, so if it is alot :) Aight Gs, it be Elder Shaw again!! Writing my weekly email, saying whats up :) Monday, chilled at the beach as always haha, nothing better than ending the day with tsunset on the beach, that never gets old haha, tryin to upload pictures, Mahajanga is starting to get super hot too, cause we are heading into the summer time, so it is starting to get hot haha. Then one of the days, we was walking around and I looked to my left to look at a rooster and then heard reynolds slip and looked forward and he was just laying on the ground, and I could not help but just laugh for a good 10 minutes, it was the probably funniest thing that happened this week, I just sat down and everytime I replaying it in my head I just laughed all over again, then the next day, since I had the keys I was locking the outer gate and prochnow came outside and starting to throw things at me and kept missing, I lookd down and look back up and he threw a piece of charbon at me and it went in the sun and i couldnt see so I did a spin but the ground was uneven and I ate the ground pretty bad haha, while I was laying on the ground I heard a bebe (grandma) laughing at me from the distance, it was wonderful haha, later that night, it was kind of late and we were just walking around the streets to our next time, a drunk guy came up to me and tried to talk to me in french english malagasy or somlething, I had no idea, this guy is wasted every night too haha, but today he just came and talked to me, all the sudden he ran off and tried to get a dog to drink some of his drink, but the dog did not like that much haha, it was pretty funny :) we went tracking the week which is looking for new people to teach, and no freakin luck, we say forget and start walking away and then 4 people came up to us and was like where you pray at?! and it was cool, but noone came to church, so that was whatever haha, we got some way dope people to teach too, most of them came to church yesterday... lol so, one of the days, can not remmeber when it was but we went home a lil early cause reynolds was not feeling so hot, he threw up and we just chilled in our house for a little bit and played some chess, and I had a question for president, so I gave him a call and he said Elder Shaw!! How are you, Im good president, and you? Im good elder shaw, what are you up to? Just playing some chess president, he kind of laughed and said that is not really missionary work elder, and it just clicked what I said, so I explained myself haha yea, it was pretty bad haha, i got to peel off mino heads for someones dinner, that was pretty nasty to be honest, at one of the dope investigators house, there is like 14 kids there, and they had this HUGE seashell so I told them they could hear the ocean in the seashell so they thought that was the coolest thing! haha this week was interesting too, Prochnow and I stayed up til 12 talking 2 nights in a row, then saturday to sunday night, we all stayed awake til 4 playing a game called settlers, it was awesome, church was really tiring, and I slept once I got home from church at 2 pm, to 6 am this morning :) I also learned how to make coconut rice, it is the BEST rice in the country in my opinion, it is SO bomb!! so I know how to make it so that is my plan once I get more allotment for the month
:) We also finished our chess set of bottle caps haha, we had to get some beer caps from the ground as ghetto as that is but we did it :) it is legit lol, that is about my week!! I made sure I wrote everything down!! we have a baptism coming up this week so getting in the ocean :) to finish this email up, I went on splits this week, and wnet out to this place with no lights and looked up and oh my goodness gracious deary me, if only I had words to descride it haha just messing, it was straight awesome!
First Cameleon Sighting (8/21/2011)
Aight, so stories!! I made sure I wrote them all or most of them yesterday so I could write more today haha :P so, this is what has been going down this week, first of all, on monday, that was straight up sick, we went to the biggest baobob in mahajanga, it is the split in the road and right behind it is the ocean, it was gorgeous, then about 5 miunutes off the coast is a island called kasepy I think, we are going there soon too, probably a few weeks from today, we will see, then tuesday and the days after, we have been throwing down spitirual bombs on people, me and my comp are getting along really well and teaching super good, just tonga dia!! it is cool, we have about 10 soft bap dates, which means they have accepted the baptism but dont have an offical date yet, and 6 official bap dates, so it is sickkk!!! we pretty much destroyed this week on missionary work!! then while Ive been hole with the comps, there are 4 of us but only really 3 of us hang out cause the 4th one doesnt really speak english and we are not on good terms at the moment but that will be for another time, but he does not like us either so yea, BUT I told my buddy procknow, not my comp that I could rock him in checkers so he said how and I grabbed some chalk and since we have cement floors I drew a checker board and at first we were using seashells and pieces of paper, but we have upgraded to bottle caps and seashells lol, we are starting to collect bottle caps and stuff to play chess lol you will see the pictures soon hopefully, but my pictures are not uploading so maybe it wont happen, I do not know yet!! Im trying though!! so yea, lots of checkers and Tic tac toe this week, then a few investigator stories, we were walking down a street and a lady was trying to catch up to us and she did and started to try and speak english with us, and said she has been searching for us lol, so we said okay, got her number and went to her house this week, and she is like calling all her friends in, and telling us there are more coming so we are like freak, this lady is awesome, and we have about 10 people in there and she wants us to teach them english, we are said dang it, that sucks lol, but we only taught the gospel and they were shocked, got a few people out of it and we still teach her so it is cool, THEN there is another girl, (woman, I swear :)) she is a sister of a guy who has a bap date coming up soonn, and (by the way, first bap will be in the ocean, whats up
:D) SO, sister, and we ask her if she knows this book is true and she says yes, so we are like cool, will you be baptized, and she says no lol, we are like what?? she says this big ol thing about how she knows the church is true and all this stuff, but says she has already been baptized haha, so reynolds got a lil upset and talked for about thirty more mins trying to get her conviced tsy misy fahefana, but yea, we also started a referral game with the ward, and that is making our job go way crazy cause the members are helping like crazy haha, then on saturday we did this service project for the ward and GUESS WHAT I FOUND!! This freaking HUGE camelon, it was sooo cool haha, watching it change colors but I was a lil girl and scared of it cause they were all freaked and were like it BITES HARD, so im sketched haha, but I held it and it was cool, but I made a member WAY mad at me lol, I told her to go away cause she was realy scared of it no idea why, and she walked around the corner and with me no intention of scaring her, I started walkikng that way and she comes back and straight flips out lol, she is trying to run and starts tripping but I apologized and we are good now :) if I remember any more stories Ill hook you up!! but that is most it!! hope you enjoy it :)
Transfers (8/14/2011)
haha everything is moving along now!! I got moved but it is a secret to where :) it is really really hot here, and humid, and I guess Ill tell you!! I got moved to mahajanga!! such a gorgeous place!! really stinking hot though, goodnessg racious, already back to school, that is crazy!! 4 months went by quick haha, almost 5 now!! getting a day closer each day :) well, this week has been interesting!! football was awesome!! then we got transfer news that night!! it was the biggest transfer in the mission ever!! it was sweet!! I got sent to mahajanga and it was a lovely 14 hour bus ride, left at 5 ish and got here around 5 ish again, it was wonderful haha, took some pills and passed out fast after the first 3 hours!! you drive through a rain forest but since it was dark you couldn't see anything anyways!! I got here and the house is pretty freaking ghetto, no light in the bathroom so we take showers by the moonlight, rats all over, so pretty ghetto but our room is huge so it is nice :) going to buy a sweet hammock for like 13 dollars and set it up in the room somehow Im hoping!! that is my plan at least!! then we started to walk around and I found out how humid really goes and it sucks lol, Im sweating bullets all the time, especially when we get home out of the sun!! fans running 24 7 :) but just sleep with a lil sheet on me!! it is legit, but this place is the best doub the heat and what not :D then when I get here we had a soiree or a dinner appointment and we played uno and ate a cow foot, that was interesting, I didnt ask what it was til after I ate it haha, I was kind of scared, nice and chewy but it really was not that bad! so did that, umm.. we were walking back from church yesterday and some drunk guy came and tried to give me a nice big ol kiss, then we have a vazaha family in our ward, the kid looks straight out of cali, the dad is french and the mom malagasy, it is way cool! then last night too, we were teaching a time, and I could hear the ocean off in the distance we were sooo close, it is SO awesome!! cause there only used to be 2 missionaries up here, and they had the whole city, then me and prochnow came" up here and the split the city right in half, my comp and I have the beach and they have the city mostly, so it is cool!! today we are going to play beach volleyball so looking forward to that haha, this place is soo cool, hopefully I can get more pictures up next time, cause the internet is not too fast here so yea!! tried to get some pictures of the actually place, only got pictures of the house and the trip and right before I left anjanahary!! so yea!! love you guys!! thanks for sharing the stories wit me and yea!! hopefully everything is going good still :) see you next week!! sorry didnt get too much pictures!!
Letter from Elder Shaw (8/6/2011)
My poop is starting to get solid!! I bought oatmeal and this really good honey and eat it every morning so I be set now :) nah, I havent gotten daynas letter yet, but still checking the office a bunch and waitingf for it!! Miss my sister much!! and the family course!! Good thing with Kenneth, I talked to him a lil bit, missing him the most haha, but like I say to everyone, I know Im here for two years, it is what it is, I work and on pdays that is my day :) I work hard lol, I almost wished you went on a mission, personally I think you would have loved it, especially hanging out with some sisters hear, I could totally picture you here lol, it is kind of funny :P but it is way cool!! you should keep doing minis with the sisters there haha, unless there are none anymore but dunno why there wouldnt be any!! but shoot mother of mine, it has been an interesting week for sure, thought Id share some stories with you!! like for one, our BEST investigator started crying but trying to hide it ya know?? like pretending to think and what not lol, but we read alma 7 with him!!
but then the next day, we all pumped up and what not, we go to a members house who has been way less active, drinking and what not, and we start sharing the spiritual thought you know? all the sudden he gets up and walks out then comes back and started saying he didnt like the church, and didnt like everything, he would rather have some guy point a gun to his head then join the church!! Im like oh freak but keep smiling anyway and he was getting pissed lol, it was awesome!!
but that was pretty much my week, we did street boarding again, got a few new investigators from that and what not!! it was straight, but just trucking along, day by day, hoping for the best!! lately Ive been singing a lot lol, like in the buses I start singing aint no mountain high, aint no valley low, everyone gives me the weirdest looks but they smile after awhile, I start asking if they want to join! whatever songs come to my mind I just jam wherever and whenever :) it has kept me happy for sure!! but that has been pretty much my week!! hope you enjoyed haha, sorry it isnt too much but yea!! love you mother :) an thank you for the story(Ensign May 1996, What I Want My Son to Know before He Leaves on His Mission by James E Faust)and scriptures(alma 13:21-23) , I will look them up!!

Cardon Monoxide (7/24/2011)
Alright so!! story time!! this week was pretty freaking rough!! So, get my ukulele on monday!! that was pretty freaking sweet! but tuesday came and that just destroyed us!! so we leave at 1130 and start walking around, go to our first time, and that went alright, then all of our times cancel us for the rest of the day at that moment after the first time, almost all at once, so we are like frick, what now, then we decide to go tracting to houses, and we get shut down and shut down, nobody let us in after 3 hours of straight tracting, and nothing!!
then somebody called us and said come over!! it was a member thank goodness!! so we go and get that day over with, which totally sucked!!
pass out at like 1030 and at about 1130 the carbon monoxide alarm goes off so we stay up til about 1 just watching it cause it teterted on the dangerous and not dangerous, and someone touches it and it goes back to 0 at like 1230 so we stay up til 1 just waiting and it didnt move!!
so that day straight up sucked!! then wednesday was alright!!! just a normal day but tore apart from yesterday!!then thursday came and we had burgers at our district meeting and an interview with president!!
then friday came and we worked our butt offs, and we went to english and fryer and I taught the people how to play head knees shoulders and toes!! and simon says cause we taught the body parts and that was sooo legit!! so much fun!! and the rest of the days were alright!! not too much stuff happened! just day to day!! sunday we got our area book back and there is soo much work to do!! so we got our days planned for us!! love you guys, be good, keep emailing :)

Typical Email btwix mom and son (7/11/2011)
DYLAN: Hey.
MOM: Hey.
DYLAN: wassup?
MOM: Just being bored listening to dayna, lilly, Kenneth and Richard going at it. Again. Never any peace here at least when they all get together. Camryon is mad he can't go to allisons house with Kenneth, so he took off to the school. How are you doing?
DYLAN:haha something I kind of miss! :P dayna and richard yelling at each other and just keep going haha, jamming out to music with Kenneth and possibly camryon, then just leaving, good stuff :) or talking to you while they yell lol, Im good, sick in the nose, but thats aight, been taking medicine and yea, Got some stories coming your way, some unpleasant, but some good of course :P
MOM:There is always good with the bad. So long as it's not about you getting sent home I am good with it. In fact I was just talking with Kenneth about that and how I want to hear the good and bad stories. That is what makes life interesting. We were talking to Kenneth about turning in his papers. Said you guys have been talking about that. I told him he needs to stop jerking around and go meet with the bishop. He is just wasting time. Especially if he wants to leave a.s.a.p. Which, speaking of Andrew O'Hara just submitted his mission papers. Can't tell what his emotions are, since he never talks. I have an interesting tidbit. You might not find it interesting but I thought it was funny. Kind of one of those things you have to hear in person. So here goes. So I saw that XXXXX went to the midnight showing of T-3 with your favorite Lady friend. So I was thinking to myself, man how did he get a date with her. Her dad must be out of town. Anyways week passed then XXX and I were talking about it. Don't know why. But XXXX said she heard XXX say "Man, Dylan gets home a whole year before me. That sucks." I thought that was kind of funny. Anyways. Thought it was a funny tidbit.
Do you need us to send you a cable cord to get those pictures up? Have you met Elder El-Bakri yet?
DYLAN:oh frick! haha yea, that lady friend has caused my a lot of trouble here, no doubt. but whatever, yea, kenneth and I have been talking!! Tell him to reply to me!! :D Yea, elder el bakri is in my zone and he is training Elder Maua i, so I see him a good amount!
MOM:So tell me. Who are the missionaries that you have meet. Us moms are so curious to see if our boys have met each other.
DYLAN:haha no, it is the opposite, havent talked to her, and with certain things going on in the mission, makes me think about her, and all the things that happened, everything I realized a few days ago and it is
whatever, and Ive met everybody in Tana (another city in Mada) lol, when we went to ampifi(cool tourist place), it was a Tana thing and all the people there went to ampifi!! And Elder El-Bakri is way cool, way chill and funny yea, why do you ask?
MOM:I ask about Elder El-bakri, cause I am friends with his mom on Facebook.
DYLAN: ah gotcha!! yea!! Ive seen him a lot everynow and then!! he islegit! I wrote you a super long email!!

WAY good day (7/11/2011)
So, first of, I wanted to share a story about something I Forgot awhile back!! It was one night, we were walking home, and had a WAY good day, just super happy, and said to each other, what if we saw someone get mugged to top the night off!! and that never never happens in Mada!! cause if you steal something, you can get straight killed, so yea!! We turn around and there were no cars on the road, was kind of late, and turned around and see a lil guy getting roughed up by two bigger guys under a super bright light, so we are like that is kind of weird and thought maybe he got mugged, and kept walking, he ran up to us, with SUPER good french, which is a rare thing, and said he got mugged lol, so we are like what the frick, and said lets go beat them up right now!! and he is like nono, we cant and we said yes we definitely can lol, but he said no, he still had his phone and his wallet, weird again, smith said we will walk him home and we said okay, started to walk, and by the way this is right by our house and we both said oh shoot, this definitely doesnt feel right, so we like, we have to go, sorry, and he said no problem, and when he walked away he called somebody, so we thought we were gona get jumped but fryer and smith, fryer can wreck people, were coming up behind us which we didnt know but would have been perfect if they came!
But oh well, next story, this way my last week with smith, depending on who my next companion is, I might get a malagasy mini for the next two days, which will be way interesting, cause I cant really speak, so we will see what happens, we made pancakes and eggs twice, freaking delicious no doubt, tomorrow morning might make cinnamon rolls, way delicious too!!
our house is the best house in the mission, no doubt!! I cleaned the kitchen way good yesterday too, made a bunch of coolaid and stuff, cleaned the oven cause smith was sick yesterday after church, so yea!!
got bored lol, fryer and I started to work out again, and hot dang, started to look better, smith is giving me some protein, so my mornings usually consist of, studying language, scriptures for the days, then working out, shower and getting out of there, usually!!
oh!! terrible story right here, but we justified it, We got invited to a soiree, which is kind of like a dinner appointment but a lil different, this one was way whack!! We have fun, play with the kids and what not, not really a rich family, but all good, then they are bringing food in, smith and I get this WAY nice bread, way good, hot milk, and just us get it, and Im like what the frick, one of the lil girls started crying so we cant say no, but, we were like , manasa, which means your invited to eat, to the kids, and the grandparents said no, so we said no back and said it again, so they said we are making rice for them, so we said oh well, finished and thye still hadnt made food, so I told smith we have to do something for them, I had 5000 ariary in my pocket and said lets do it, which would kind of be a lot to them, i gave it to him during prayer, but the girl had her eyes open lol, so we hid it in ther couch and hopefully they found it, we had to do it, spirit whispered to us :) and well, the nasty part, I got constipated right? had to get it fixed, hadnt pooped for a week, so turned on some music, stuck a bullet up my butt, got about a whole pinky in, was not pleasant at all!! those about the stories of the week I think!! OH!! so fryer and I were on splits, and we chose just a random rode to see what was in there, and mind you, we cant speak malagasy the best yet, or understand, and I saw an investigator who was WAY legit but kept not showing up, so I got to schedule a time with her again :) Tell everyone I said hi!! hope you enjoy it!!

Geyers, Jules, Ukelele (July 4, 2011)
Doing good still!! We went to Ampifilo yesterday! That was way awesome for awhile!! It is a way sick waterfall about 2 hours away from Tana, and went to some geysers near that! Met a way sickmissionary and got a lot closer to them all! Fryer and I live in the same building now, which is way sick! We used to live with Cryer and Nash but he moved out last week! So some missionaries came and spent the night two nights ago, we had a good ol party, food, cards, just fun! then woke up way early and cruised over to The office and went to ampefi! I gave cryer your email as well cause he wanted to talk to ya! cryer is way cool too!! He might become my mom but we will see :D which would be way sick! Um, this week, went to a few dinner appointments, OH! so an african quorum of the seventy came on sunday, to our ward and I was translating the talks into sign language for jules, the deaf malagasy, or trying to haha, still not mahay, but getting better, and since it was testimony meeting, he is like I want to share, and Im like oh shoot, so I made him write it down so I could read it and it looked like I was watching him sign, and I found out after the meeting he was a auorum of the seventy!! Then later that night he did a fireside, and he talked about developing talents and stuff, and how everyone has the talent to smile, so about a hour later, he is like, what are your talents, everyone shared, then I started thinking bout something, and he called my name, and I m like OH SHOOT! I walk up there, he asks me what I thought my talent was, I said, Well, Im a good smiler, and everyone loved that. so that was interesting! This week has been pretty chill, two days ago I went to go get my ukulele made, and he said he will have it done next week on monday! SO stoked for that! The main piece will be white, the fretboard will be black, the head piece black, and the tuner keys white!! Whoo!! and it cost 7° bucks :) legit! today I have to go give him the rest of the money, but he usually takes 4 weeks to finish it and he will be done with it in 1 week! :D then I can start jamming out when it isnt time to work, which is most the time! Smith had the same idea as me almost! When it is time to work, we work hard! but time to rest is time to rest! And well, other bad new, havent pooped for a week lol, definitely not good! So Im going to ask Sister Donnely for Laxatives, and see how it works out! I think it is all the rice! But we willl see! Everything is still going really good though! Loving it hear, Smith leaves next monday, I MIGHT get a mini missionary which is just some kid in our ward who goes with us til I get another companion but It probably wont happpen, I find out who my next companion is next londay night! And the APs are moving to the house below us!! Which is way sweet!! Still no pictures this week, I promise Ive been taking them, I need to buy a strap for my camera so I wont get it jacked!
then I will TAKE a lot! but kind of sketched cause yea! dont want to loose it haha, sounds like everyone is doing really good! You two endured the hardship and now richard might get another job :P Where is dayna going to live during MCC? Aunt allisons house? thats cool though, at least she is doing something now :) oh shoot!! Telll Aunt Allison I want to go with her to the temple when I get back :D thats good for her though, good to hear kenneth did good! dunno what else to say lol, tell grandma I luv her to bieces! just like that too! good to hear about everyone! Hope you all doing good! love ya! If I think of other stuff, Ill let ya know!!

Happy Independence Day Madagascar! (6/26/2011)
Madagascar Independence Day is a public holiday, which is observed on
June 26 every year in the Republic of Madagascar. The entire population
of the country celebrates this day as their national holiday. This day
marks the declaration of independence from the French regime in 1960.
Madagascar Independence Day is a no work day.
Background
The Republic of Madagascar is an island nation on the southeastern shores of the African continent. It has experienced major developments throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Encompassing a tactical position away from the southeastern seashores of the African continent, the island country traditionally turned into the aim of British and French colonizers. Eventually, the contest led to French settlement at the close of the 19th century. In 1942, at the Battle of Madagascar, British forces gained control of the country to prevent its capture by the Japanese forces, following which the Free French occupied the territory. It achieved complete freedom from the French settlers on June 26, 1960.
Independence and Republic
The Republic of Madagascar came into existence on June 26, 1960 once it achieved freedom from the French rule. The country's formation was assumed by a countrywide election on August 19, 1992.
Madagascar Independence Day Celebrations
Madagascar Independence Day is an event of enormous importance. It is observed on June 26 every year. The Malagasy citizens enjoy the festivities with delicious cuisine, dancing, and drinking. One of the displays of the occasion is a demonstration of "Hira Gasy". It is a melodious production of Malagasy myths. During this program, artists put on their most attractive conventional clothing and blend dances and songs with long-established fables from the country. This is merged with a narrator who stages every song with a bit of poems or a passage from a most popular fable.
During the festivities, schools, colleges, and businesses stay closed. Independence Day in Madagascar is the biggest event on the calendar of the country, which is celebrated on June 26 every year. The day is an enjoyable and captivating occasion. The observations are characterized by unlimited dining, drinking, and making merry. It is possibly the most significant day for the country to mark its independence achieved as a result of long-fought battles with the French forces. Display of firecrackers and a laser show are held at Lake Anosy on the opening day with an army march past and musical shows are organized at Mahamasina Stadium on the 2nd day. The majority of festivities happen in Antananarivo, the capital of the country. Independence Day is an important public holiday in Madagascar and is work-free.
